Frequently asked questions
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Press Download PDF. In the print window, set the destination or printer to Save as PDF, then save. On phones, use Share or Print and pick Save as PDF.
How is tax calculated?
Tax is applied to the subtotal after the discount. Shipping is added after tax. Check your local tax rules, because some taxes apply differently.
Is this a legal tax invoice?
It produces a general invoice. Some countries require extra details on a tax invoice, such as a tax registration number. Add those in the From field or notes if they apply to you.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your own browser on this device. Use Clear invoice to start fresh, or clear your browser data to remove it completely.
Can I create invoices for several clients?
Yes. Download the PDF for one client, then change the details and number for the next. Keep your PDFs as your records.
What should every invoice include?
At minimum: your business name and contact details, the client's name, a unique invoice number, the invoice date, a clear list of items with prices, the total due, the due date and how to pay. Numbering invoices in order makes your records and taxes easier.
