How to use the QR Code Generator
- 1 Choose what the code should do: open a Link, show Text, join Wi-Fi, write an Email, call a Phone or open a WhatsApp chat.
- 2 Fill in the fields. The preview updates as you type.
- 3 Optionally change the colours. Keep a dark code on a light background so every camera can read it.
- 4 Download a PNG for screens and social posts, or an SVG for print, where it stays sharp at any size.
- 5 Test the code with your phone camera before you print it.
Features
Static codes that never expire
The information is stored inside the code itself, not behind a redirect link, so it keeps working forever and nobody can switch it off.
Wi-Fi in one scan
Guests scan the code and join your network without typing the password. Special characters in the name or password are escaped correctly.
WhatsApp chat codes
Create a code that opens a WhatsApp chat with your number and an optional pre-written message, useful for shops and delivery orders.
Print-ready SVG
SVG files are vector graphics, so the code stays crisp on posters, menus and business cards at any size.
When to use it
Restaurants and shops
Print a code on menus or counters that opens your WhatsApp for orders, your Google Maps location or your online menu.
Offices and homes
Put a Wi-Fi code in your guest room or reception so visitors connect without asking for the password.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static codes: the link or text is encoded directly, so they work as long as the link itself works.
Can I track how many people scan my code?
Not with a static code. Scan tracking needs a dynamic code that points to a redirect service. You can add UTM parameters to your link to see visits in your analytics instead.
What does error correction mean?
It adds backup data so the code still scans if part of it is dirty or covered. Medium suits most uses; choose High if you plan to put a logo over the centre.
Why won't my coloured QR code scan?
Scanners need strong contrast. Use a dark colour on a light background, never light on dark, and keep the quiet margin around the code.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No. The code is drawn by your browser, and nothing you type leaves your device.
