Frequently asked questions
What is the petrol price in Pakistan now?
From 30 October 2026, petrol is Rs 377.91 a litre and high-speed diesel is Rs 400.67. Prices are reviewed every 15 days, so update the price box when they change.
How do I find my car's fuel average?
Fill the tank, reset the trip meter, drive normally, then fill up again. Divide the kilometres driven by the litres added.
What is a typical fuel average?
A 70cc bike often gives 45 to 55 km per litre, a 1000cc car 14 to 18 and a 1300cc car 11 to 14, depending on traffic and driving style.
Does AC use more petrol?
Yes. Air conditioning can cut fuel average by about 10% to 20% in city driving.
How often does OGRA change the price?
The government announces new petrol and diesel prices on the 15th and last day of each month, based on OGRA working.
Can I use it for CNG?
Yes. Enter the CNG price per kg and your km per kg average.
How do I split fuel cost for a carpool?
Work out the cost of the full trip and divide it by the number of people sharing the ride, including the driver if everyone pays equally.
How can I improve my fuel average?
Keep tyres at the right pressure, drive smoothly, avoid long idling, service the engine on time and remove extra weight from the boot. Steady speeds of 60 to 80 km per hour on the motorway give the best average.
Is a hybrid car cheaper to run?
Hybrids often give 20 to 25 km per litre in city traffic, so fuel cost per km can be close to half that of a normal 1300cc car, although the purchase price is higher.
