Featured Canada tool
Add sales tax to a price, or take it out of a total, for any Canadian province or territory. The calculator applies GST, HST, PST, RST or QST at the rates published by the Canada Revenue Agency, including Nova Scotia's HST of 14% since 1 April 2025, and shows each tax on its own line.
Worked example
$100 in Ontario and Quebec. Ontario charges 13% HST, so $100 × 13% = $13 and the total is $113.00. Quebec charges 5% GST ($5.00) plus 9.975% QST ($9.98), so the total is $114.98. To remove tax from $113 in Ontario, divide by 1.13 to get $100.00.

Why trust the numbers
A calculator is only as good as its rates. Every Canada tool shows where its numbers come from and when they were last checked.
Each tool links to the law, notice or tariff it uses.
The last-checked date sits on every tool page.
A step-by-step example lets you check the maths yourself.
| Date | Tool | Source |
|---|---|---|
| GST/HST Calculator | Canada Revenue Agency: GST/HST rates | |
| Hourly to Salary Calculator | Government of Canada: Hours of work (federal labour standards) | |
| Mortgage Calculator | Financial Consumer Agency of Canada: Mortgages |
Works everywhere
Each tool links to the official notification, law or policy it uses, for example the Canada Revenue Agency for GST/HST and income tax, and provincial ministries for PST, and shows the date it was last checked.
Whenever the government or regulator changes them. CRA brackets and limits change every January, and provinces announce sales tax changes in their spring budgets.
Yes. Every Canada tool is free, needs no account and works on mobile and desktop.
No. The calculators run in your browser, so the amounts, salary or marks you enter are never sent to us or stored.
Use the result as a careful estimate. For a tax return, invoice dispute or application, the official notice or the department always has the final word, which is why every tool links to its source.
