Hourly to Salary Calculator

Turn an hourly wage into yearly, monthly, semimonthly, biweekly, weekly and daily pay, or work backwards from a salary to an hourly rate. A full-time US job is usually counted as 40 hours a week for 52 weeks, which is 2,080 paid hours a year, and you can change both numbers to match your own schedule.

Worked example

$25 an hour, full time. A standard year is 40 hours × 52 weeks = 2,080 hours. Yearly pay is $25 × 2,080 = $52,000. Monthly pay is $52,000 ÷ 12 = $4,333.33, biweekly pay is $25 × 80 hours = $2,000, and semimonthly pay is $52,000 ÷ 24 = $2,166.67, all before taxes.

Why trust the numbers

Checked against the official source

A calculator is only as good as its rates. Every United States tool shows where its numbers come from and when they were last checked.

Source linked

Each tool links to the law, notice or tariff it uses.

Date shown

The last-checked date sits on every tool page.

FAQ

United States tools, explained

Missing a calculator you need? Tell us and we will add it to the list.

Where do the rates come from?

Each tool links to the official notification, law or policy it uses, for example the IRS for federal tax and each state revenue department for sales tax, and shows the date it was last checked.

How often are the rates updated?

Whenever the government or regulator changes them. IRS figures change every tax year, and states and cities can change sales tax rates on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July or 1 October.

Are these calculators free?

Yes. Every United States tool is free, needs no account and works on mobile and desktop.

Are my numbers saved?

No. The calculators run in your browser, so the amounts, salary or marks you enter are never sent to us or stored.

Can I rely on the result for official filing?

Use the result as a careful estimate. For a tax return, invoice dispute or application, the official notice or the department always has the final word, which is why every tool links to its source.
