Frequently asked questions

What is title case?

Each important word starts with a capital letter, while short words such as a, and, of and the stay lower case unless they come first.

What is sentence case?

Only the first letter of each sentence is capitalised, plus the word I, as in normal writing.

What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?

camelCase starts with a lower-case letter (userName) and PascalCase starts with a capital (UserName).

When should I use snake_case or kebab-case?

snake_case is common for Python variables and database columns, and kebab-case for URLs, CSS classes and file names.

Will names and acronyms keep their capitals?

Title and sentence case lower everything first, so check proper names and acronyms like NASA afterwards.

Does it work with other languages?

Upper and lower case work for any language that has capital letters, such as English, French or German. Scripts without capitals, such as Urdu or Hindi, are left unchanged.

Can I undo a change?

Press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on a Mac) in the text box to step back, or click another case to convert again from the current text.

Is there a limit on text length?

No practical limit. Long documents convert instantly because everything runs in your browser.

Is my text stored?

No. The text is never uploaded or saved, so it is safe for drafts and private notes.
